General information

The promoter is a Kenyan limited liability company that was incorporated in 2014 as a local food processing, distribution and marketing company. In 2015, the promoter engaged existing production plants under exclusive manufacturing contracts to produce under supervision proprietary processed foods. The foods are typically value-added products which the existing factory has competency. The promoters provide culinary expertise, pre-mixes, QA, food pathology and lab, product testing, marketing packaging and sales strategy. In 2016, the promoters constructed their own plant and continuously absorbed production from their partner processors. The promoter’s products are registered trademarks.

Investment

The promoter seeks additional funding for working capital with a transparent purchasing procedure. A specific amount will be utilized for marketing and sales activities; in-store, digital and via regular media. A small percentage as per the above requirement shall be used for initial and recurrent overheads as per the shareholder’s approval. The payroll shall be dependent on a positive balance sheet as per shareholder’s approval.

In line with achieved sales targets, an amount (as per projections) shall be set aside from cash sales for expansion in new plant and equipment. Any shareholder investment shall be payable on shorter notice from cash balance to reduce investor exposure. Exit strategies may be set by investors and the promoter.

Production

The promoters use local organic pork for production and suppliers range from small scale to large farmers. The promoters will then commence the next step which is the production process. To maximize meat value, the bacon is individually selected and wood smoked. It is hung to ensure a pleasant blood free retail view.

Production of pork derived products for consumers; Bacons, burgers, sausages, and different types of cold cuts. The aforementioned are front facing products though the promoter has several back facing products for niche retail & delivery including cheese and Sujuk, (Turkish salami). Each of the front- facing product forks to several product lines depending on weight and flavour. The different flavours of sausages produced are Premium, Bacon and Spicy packaged in 100, 200 and 400 grams. The bacon’s are produced in only the premium flavour.
